When making a symbolic link using the mklink command, I get this error message when trying to open the link:

XXX refers to a location that is unavailable…

To fix this, I’ve tried running the fsutil behavior query symlinkevaluation command in an elevated command prompt to ensure that symbolic links are enabled to the resource I’m trying to connect to but have had no luck.

The location I’m trying to link to definitely is available and I have full permission to access it. I don’t know why I’m getting this error.

Seems that the XXX refers to a location that is unavailable… error is related to user permissions because it works for another user on the same computer. Strange that I can view the files going via the network location instead of the symbolic link :s
