      I’ve enabled the Offer Remote Assistance GPO, but the Windows 7 Firewall is blocking remote assistance offers. Here’s how to enable Offer Remote Assistance in the Windows Firewall via group policy:

      1. Navigate to the following GPO location:

        Computer Configuration -> Policies -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Windows Firewall with Advanced Security -> Windows Firewall with Advanced Security -> Inbound Rules

      2. Right click on Inbound Rules
      3. Click New Rule…
      4. Select Predefined:
      5. Select Remote Assistance
      6. Click Next
      7. Tick the Remote Assistance rules that you wish to apply
      8. Click Next
      9. Select Allow the connection
      10. Click Finish
