If your USB Drive keeps disconnecting, it’s probably because of the USB selective suspend setting. To stop a USB from disconencting itself, go to the Control Panel -> Power Options -> Change Plan Settings -> Change Advanced Power Settings, then find the USB Settings -> USB Selective Suspend setting and disable it.
After this, the USB drive will no longer keep disconnecting.
❗ Note: For enterprise administrators, there is no specific GPO setting for this and you won’t find it in GPO Preferences, either 🙁
The only way you can set USB Selective Suspect via GPO is to do a registry GPO Preference. The registry setting for USB Selective Suspend is different for different version of Windows. If this helped you, please help others by replying to this and sharing the registry location for USB Selective Suspend for different versions of Windows.
