When trying to upgrade from Server 2003 to Server 2008, you get this error:

Setup has detected that FrontPage server extensions is installed on this computer To upgrade your server, uninstall this component

      To fix this:

      1. Open the Control Panel
      2. Click Add Remove Programs
      3. Click Add/Remove Windows Components (on the left hand side of the window)
      4. Select Application Server and click Details
      5. Select Internet information Services (IIS) and click Details
      6. Untick FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions
      7. Click Ok and follow the wizard to uninstall FrontPage Server Extensions

You should now be able to upgrade to Windows 2008. Once you’ve upgraded your server, you may need to Install FrontPage server extensions on the Windows 2008 server.
