Sometimes SCOM will show this error:
The SDK service is either not running or not yet initialized.
The SDK service is reported as not running or not initialized whenever SCOM cannot connect to the database.
To fix this, check that network connectivity is good (ping /t) and that the SCOM DB is running (not in single-user mode) and the log file isn’t full. Also check the event log on the SQL server.
There are reports on the internet of people reinstalling the SCOM Root Management Server to fix the SDK error.
