When trying to purchase an App in the Windows Store on Windows 8, you get this error:
Your purchase couldn’t be completed
Something happened and your purchase can’t be completed
To fix the Purchase couldn’t be completed error:
- Move the mouse to the top right corner and then down to open the Charms bar
- Click Settings -> Change PC Settings
- Select Users
- Click Disconnect from your Microsoft account. (You may need to click Switch to a local account)
- Log out
- Log in
- Try to purchase something from the Windows Store again
- Relink your account from Click Settings -> Change PC Settings -> Users
If you still get the Purchase couldn’t be completed error, do the following:
- Click Start
- Type View reliability history
- Find the error that occured when you tried to purchase something
- Right click the error and click View technical details
- Troubleshoot the error before trying to purchase something else
