When trying to edit a VM, you get this message in the title bar:
Read-only as vmrest is operating the VM
It’s read-only because either:
The VM was shut down improperly, suspended/paused, causing a lock file to exist on the VM.
To fix this scenario, either shut down the VM and delete the .lck files, or power up and shut down the VM properly.
The file permissions are set to read-only.
This should fix the Read-only as vmrest is operating the VM issue.
