When I play video through the Google Chrome VLC Plugin, there is no sound. If you get no sound when playing video in the VLC plugin for Google Chrome, this is because the VLC plugin doesn’t support audio on mkv files. Convert the mkv file to another format (mp4 seems to work) and try playing it again. It should work with audio this time.
