While installing VMware ESXi 6, you get this error:
nfs41client failed to load
Followed by this error:
No Network Adapters
No network adapters were detected. Either no network adapters are physically connected to the system, or a suitable driver could not be located. A hired pay driver may be required…
The message telling you that there are no network adapters adequately explained the nfs41client failed to load<\em> error.
To fix this, I do not recommend installing 3rd party drivers because you will then find yourself in an unsupported configuration and probe to a number of other issues.
If you are installing ESXi onto a computer that will be a production box, I advice that you buy a server class machine that is listed on the ESXi compatibility list.
If you are installing ESXi onto a PC for lab purposes, I suggest checking out the ESXi compatibility list and buying a new network adapter that’s on the list.
