In windows 7, file extensions are hidden by the default settings of Explorer, as well as folders and system files, here’s how to show file extensions in Windows 7:
- To start, you need to launch Explorer and click Tools > Folder Options >View
- Scroll down and find the option “Hide extensions for known file types”, uncheck this selection, then the file extensions are showed instantly
