When booting HP Smart Storage Administrator or HP Intelligent Provisioning, You get this error:
i8042: Can’t read the CTR while initializing i8042
The i8042 error reading the CTR relates to PS/2 connectors. More specifically, you get an error reading the CTR while initializing i8042 if you are not using a PS/2 mouse or keyboard. If you are using a USB mouse / keyboard, it is safe to ignore this error.
