Double clicking an MSU file doesn’t always run it. To run an MSU file, run this command in the command prompt:
wusa C:\file.msu
(Where C:\file.msu is the path to the MSU file you want to run).
To launch the command prompt, type cmd then enter, after hitting the Start button. The MSU file will then run.
