      If you’re decomissioning a SQL server, you might need to migrate the Trend Micro Intrusion Defense Firewall (IDF) database. To migrate the Trend Micro Intrusion Defense Firewall (IDF) database:

      1. Log onto the OfficeScan server that has the IDF plugin installed
      2. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\Addon\Intrusion Defense Firewall\webclient\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF
      3. Open dsm.properties in Notepad
      4. The following records tell you the name of the database that you want to migrate:
        database.name=<>
        database.SqlServer.instance=<>
        database.SqlServer.server=<
        >
      5. Stop the Intrusion Defense Firewall service
      6. Backup or dettach and copy the IDF database that you want to migrate from the SQL server instance
      7. Restore or attach the IDF database to the SQL server you want to migrate to
      8. On the OfficeScan server that has the IDF plugin installed, edit the dsm.properties file to point to the SQL server instance that you are migrating to
      9. Start the Intrusion Defense Firewall service
      10. Check that the IDF plugin works
