How To Draw A Dotted Line In Visio 2010

It’s not obvious how to draw a dotted line in visio 2010, but I worked it out! Here’s how to draw a dotted line in visio 2010:

1. Start Visio 2010
2. On the Home tab in the ribbon, there’s a section called Tools. At the top right of the Tools section, there’s a small rectangle with a drop down arrow next to it. Click the drop down arrow and select Line
3. Draw the line on your Visio 2010 diagram
4. Right click the line and click Format -> Line…
5. To make the line a dotted line, change the Dash type to the style of dotted line you want to draw
6. Click OK
