Annoyingly the arrow keys on the keyboard don’t move to the next cell in Microsoft Excel anymore. To fix this and make the arrow keys move the active cell in Microsoft Excel, simply turn Scroll Lock off.
Scroll Lock makes the arrow keys move the page, rather than the active cell in Microsoft Excel. Scroll Lock is the key on your keyboard which is typically located next to the Prt Scrn, Pause, Home and Insert keys. You’ll know if Scroll Lock is on because there’s usually a light for Num Lock, Caps Lock and Scroll Lock. Also you’ll know if Scroll Lock is on, because the arrow keys will move the page in Excel, instead of the active cell 😉
