      The following is a list of operating systems that support VMware Fault Tolerance:

      • Windows NT 4.0 (AMD Opteron Barcelona CPUs are not supported)
      • Windows 2000 (AMD Opteron Barcelona CPUs are not supported)
      • Windows XP x32 (AMD Opteron Barcelona CPUs are not supported)
      • Windows 7 (At least VMware vSphere 4.0 Update 1)
      • Windows Server 2003 x32 (At least SP 2 when using an AMD Opteron Barcelona CPU in the host)
      • Solaris 10 (x64 requires U1 when AMD Barcelona CPUs are used, while x32 does not support AMD Barcelona CPUs)
