When I plug my Kindle into Windows 8.1 via USB, I’m unable to transfer files because it wono’t show up as a drive. If Kindle isn’t showing up as a drive in Windows 8.1, try:
- Ensuring that the Kindle is powered on (Power button at the bottom near the USB connection
- Unplugging the USB cable then plugging it back in
- Restart your Kindle
- Use a differeent USB port in your computer
