When trying to load a driver in Microsoft Virtual CDROM Control Panel, you get this error:
VCdControlTool
This driver has been blocked from loading
Windows 7 blocks the driver from loading because this version of Virtual CDROM Control Panel doesn’t work on an x64 machine.
Interestingly, although the download site says that Windows 7 is supported and the file was updated in 2003, the readme only says Windows XP and the last modified date of the file is 2001. Odd, since I’m pretty sure Windows XP came out around 2003…
