When troubleshooting wireless network connections on Windows 8, you get this message:
The Windows Wireless Service is not running on this computer
To fix this, go to services and restart the WLAN AutoConfig service. If Windows 8 still tells you that the Windows Wireless Service is not running, then try restarting your router.
