      you get this error in the event log:

      The volume System Reserved was not optimized because an error was encountered: The parameter is incorrect. (0x80070057)

      Event Source: Microsoft-Windows-Defrag
      Event ID: 257

      This is due to a bug which Microsoft have fixed in this hotfix.
