When trying to attach a file to an email in Microsoft Outlook, you may get this error:
The file you’re attaching is bigger than the server allows
This can happen if either the file you are trying to attach is corrupt (try opening the file to view it) or if your mail server is set to not allow you to attach files larger than a certain size.
Speak to your email administrator to change the attachment sending limits, or better yet put the file in a public or password protected location (such as OneDrive) and send an email with a link to the attachment instead. This is a better solution because even if your email server allows you to attach bigger files, the recipient’s email server might not be capable of receiving such big attachments.
