When trying to delete a file, I get this error:

The file name(s) would be too long for the destination folder. You can shorten the file name and try again, or try a location that has a shorter path.

To fix the file names would be too long error, you have to shorten the file name of the file that you’re deleting and / or rename the folders that the file is in (so that they are shorter).

The reason for this is that Windows 7 only supports file names of up to 160 characters. This count includes the full path to the file.

Once you’ve renamed the file, you should be able to delete the file without the the file names would be too long error.
