    When trying to purchase an App in the Windows Store on Windows 8, you get this error:

    Your purchase couldn’t be completed

    Something happened and your purchase can’t be completed

    To fix the Purchase couldn’t be completed error:

    1. Move the mouse to the top right corner and then down to open the Charms bar
    2. Click Settings -> Change PC Settings
    3. Select Users
    4. Click Disconnect from your Microsoft account. (You may need to click Switch to a local account)
    5. Log out
    6. Log in
    7. Try to purchase something from the Windows Store again
    8. Relink your account from Click Settings -> Change PC Settings -> Users

    If you still get the Purchase couldn’t be completed error, do the following:

    1. Click Start
    2. Type View reliability history
    3. Find the error that occured when you tried to purchase something
    4. Right click the error and click View technical details
    5. Troubleshoot the error before trying to purchase something else
