After teaming NICs using Windows NIC Teaming on an HP server, you get this error in the event log:
Session “” failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022
This is because there’s an issue with the HP Insight Management WBEM Provider for Windows. To fix error 0xC0000022, either:
- Uninstall HP’s WBEM provider and use the HP Proliant Agentless Management Service instead
- Delete the Windows NIC Team and use HP NIC Teaming instead
- Or just ignore error 0xC0000022
