When trying to set Proxy Override values in the Proxy Settings GPO for IE, you get:

Proxy override values require that the “Bypass proxy server for local address” also be enabled on the next screen

I’ve already enabled the Bypass proxy server for local address, so I was a bit miffed that I got the message. I was just wondering if anyone knows if you get this message by default or only if it thinks the Bypass proxy server for local address setting isn’t set?

After a bit of testing, it seems that you get the Bypass proxy server for local address whether you have set the tick box or not. So it’s safe to ignore the Proxy override values require that the “Bypass proxy server for local address” also be enabled on the next screen message 🙂
