If you find that the PostgreSQL restore is hanging, possibly for hours, this might be normal. Unfortunately the PostgreSQL restore feature is not a multi-threaded function and therefore becomes unresponsive as soon as you kick off the restore.
In summary, you just have to wait until it finishes restoring, which might take many hours or even days, depending on the size of your database.
