PGAdmin Won’t Start – WebSocket Transport Not Available

If you find that PGAdmin won’t start and get this error:

WebSocket transport not available. Install simple-websocket for improved performance

This is possibly because you’ve renamed the computer.

The fix is to go to the Control Panel -> Programs and Features, then uninstall PGAdmin (not PostgreSQL), then reinstall it (you can download it for free from the internet).

Of course, it’s wise to make sure the Postgres service has started and that you can connect from another computer running PGAdmin as additional troubleshooting steps if the above didn’t work.
