When trying to shut down Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, you get a popup telling you that:
Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio has detected that an operation is blocking user input. This can be caused by an active modal dialog or a task that needs to clock user interaction. Would you like to shut down anyway?
This message basically means that there’s a popup open already (such as the Connect to Server login box) that needs to be shut down before SQL Management Studio can be closed.
It’s safe to click “Yes” to close SQL Management Studio.
