Joining Lync Meeting Is Slow

You may find that joining a Lync meeting is slow. Lync will sometimes go slow when users join a meeting because the IIS Application Pools have been recycled and the first served page after recycling will take some time to prepare.

To fix this, you need to create a scheduled task on your Lync Front End server that runs a couple of warm up scripts. To create the scripts, run this script from the folder you wish to run the scripts from:

New-LyncMeetingWarmup.ps1 -CreateTasks -Verbose

New-LyncMeetingWarmup-Create

Then run the scripts from a scheduled task.
