After installing the Internet Explorer 11 adm template, the Enterprise Mode settings are missing from the GPO. If you find Enterprise Mode settings missing from the IE 11 GPO, Microsoft say that this is because:

The other option if EnterPrise Mode is missing in the IE 11 GPO, is to use group policy preferences to enable Enterprise Mode via registry changes, using the following registry key:

Create a new empty String called Enable, in the following location:

      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\EnterpriseMode

In the same location, create another String called SiteList and enter a value of the URL to an xml list of sites to run in Enterprise Mode

❗ Tip: You can create the XML list using the Enterprise Mode Site List Manager tool.

Another reason that Enterprise Mode is missing from the group policy after importing the IE 11 ADM template, could be that you are not running the Group Policy Management Tools from a Windows 8.1 or Server 2012 member server or that you don’t have a sufficient patch level of IE 11 on the PC you are managing GPOs from.

❗ Note: IE 11 Enterprise Mode requires version: 11.0.9600.17358, update verions: 11.0.13 (KB2987107). Also, IE 11 Enterprise Mode does not work with IE 11 RTM version.

The patch I mentioned that makes IE 11 Enterprise Mode work has now been superseded. To make Enterprise Mode work in Internet Explorer 11, you now need this patch: KB3003057.

Additionally, IE 11 Enterprise Mode will be missing from the IE 11 GPO if you are using IE 11 RTM.
