Did you know that it’s possible to set up internet connection sharing between Windows 7 and Windows XP? To set up ICS between a Windows 7 PC and an XP PC:

      On the Windows 7 PC:

      1. Connect the Windows 7 PC to the internet
      2. Connect the Windows XP computer through another network card, to the Windows 7 computer
      3. On the Windows 7 computer view the properties of the network card
      4. On the Sharing tab, select Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection, click OK

      On the Windows XP PC:

      1. In the Control Panel, click Network and Internet then Internet Options
      2. On the Connections tab then select Never dial a connection
      3. Click LAN Settings
      4. Deselect Automatically detect settings and Use automatic configuration script under Automatic configuration
      5. Under Proxy server, deselect Use a proxy server for your LAN
      6. Click OK

The XP PC should now be able to access the internet via the Windows 7 PC though ICS.
