If you have a backup of an ESXi host configuration, you can restore that configutation to VMware hosts. Here’s how to restore the VMware host configutation:

    1. Log onto the vCenter server
    2. Run the following Vsphere PowerCLI commandlet:

      Connect-VIServer -server < > -User root -Password < >

      Set-VMHostFirmware -VMHost < > -Restore -SourcePath C:\hostbackup\Backup.tgz -HostUser < > -HostPassword < >

This will restore the backup of the VMware host configuration from C:\hostbackup\Backup.tgz, which is stored on the vCenter server.
