By default Windows Defender is not installed on Windows Server 2012. To install Windows Defender on Server 2012, install the Desktop Experience feature from the Server Manager console. This will install Windows Defender on Server 2012.
❗ Windows Defender that comes with Server 2012 is not an enterprise level antivirus solution, in my opinion. It is however, better than nothing.
