Did you know Windows Installer comes in different versions? Here’s how to check Windows Installer version in all versions of Windows:
Run msiexec from the command prompt or run box on the start menu. You will then get a popup message from Windows Installer, with some help dialogue on switch options. At the top of the help popup, it will say the version of Windows Installer that is installed.
