After updating the name of a user account in Active Directory, the name that’s displayed does not update. To fix this, select the user who’s account that’s not updating and press F2 and rename the account. A wizard will then pop up to complete the rename.
The reason for this behavior is that when you edit the account and change the display name, you’re just changing the display name of the account, not the Active Directory object.
